Bachelor of Secondary Education

Professionalizing Passion: Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) at SPC

The Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) program at St. Peter’s College of Ormoc, Inc. (SPCO), is designed to transform aspiring educators into compassionate servant-leaders and agents of change. As a premier Catholic institution under the Archdiocese of Palo, our Teacher Education Program views teaching not merely as a profession but as a “sacred mission and a true apostolic work” dedicated to serving God, country, and all creation.

Specialized Majors for Global Competence

To meet the demands of a diverse and interconnected world, SPC offers three flagship majors within the BSED program, ensuring our graduates are globally competent and culturally responsive:

  • English: Focusing on communicative competence and linguistic excellence.
  • Filipino: Dedicated to preserving and promoting our national historical and cultural heritage.
  • Science: Utilizing our advanced Science Laboratories (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to master disciplinary knowledge.

Learning Outcomes & Professional Excellence

Our curriculum is synchronized with global standards to ensure that SPCians are intellectually competent and ready to excel in the 21st-century classroom.

Graduates of the BSED program are expected to:

  • Facilitate learning using a wide range of innovative teaching methodologies and technology.

A Values-Integrated Formation
